Ms. Alvarado graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s Degree in History in 1993.  She started her career with Paul R. White & Company in 1989 as an administrative assistant.  She was promoted to the position of technical assistant while still a student at the University of Houston.  Upon graduation from college, she became an adjuster-trainee, and currently serves as a General Adjuster and Claims Manager for Paul R. White.

Ms. Alvarado has experience in property losses, both commercial and personal lines, as well as general liability claims.  She is fluent in Spanish and has provided bilingual services for our clients.  Her specialties include:

Ms. Alvarado enjoys a reputation for professionalism and for the attention to detail she displays in the handling of her assignments.  She has successfully adjusted complex commercial losses valued in the multi-million dollar range, including fire losses to habitational properties involving the complete reconstruction of several buildings; fire damage to small and medium manufacturing companies; fire damage to churches involving multiple buildings; vandalism, water damage and hurricane damage to school buildings; and hurricane damage to multiple locations in the City of Port Arthur, Texas.

In the last seven years Ms. Alvarado has attended Mediations, served as an Appraiser on hail and fire claims and has been utilized as an Expert Witness on behalf of insurance carriers.  She has presented continuing education and training seminars for client carriers from 2015 through the present day.  Topics for these seminars included policy forms and coverage, roof and hail evaluations, coinsurance, valuation of buildings and personal property, business income losses, and compliance with Texas Chapter 542 claims handling requirements.

Ms. Alvarado earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation in January of 2003.  She is a member of the Houston Claims Association, the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, and the Loss Executives Association.  She is an active participant in various industry educational programs.
